Okay, bo6 bot lobby unpopular opinion time: I actually liked Tactical Stance. I get that it wasn’t for everyone and had a bit of a learning curve, but once you got used to it, it opened up some cool close-quarter combat strategies. It wasn’t just a gimmick—there were real advantages if you mastered it.
Now that it’s removed, I feel like Treyarch caved to casual complaints without fully considering the skilled players who adapted to it. Instead of removing the feature entirely, why not just give us a toggle or nerf it in Ranked Play?
The biggest issue was probably its forced usage during the campaign/tutorial, which gave a bad first impression. People felt like it was unnecessary because they were forced into it, not because they gave it a fair try.
Don’t get me wrong, I appreciate the return of classic systems like prestige and the movement improvements, but taking away features always feels like a step backward. Let players decide what works for their playstyle. This removal just limits that variety.
I’m still excited for BO6, especially with Theater Mode coming back and the Ranked cross-play toggle in Warzone. But I’m hoping this isn’t a trend of stripping features every time someone complains. A game like Call of Duty should add layers, not remove them.
